NAKUSA women’s championship.

A single day is insufficient to honor the women of the world. A day is set aside, however, to remind women of their mission and how valuable they are to the world. The Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) hosts a competition every year to honor Kenyan female university athletes. As a result, 2022 will not be an exception. Basketball, volleyball, handball, netball, lawn tennis, chess, swimming, and rugby are just a few of the sports that USIU is proud to host.

Coco Cola, Nairobi Sports House, School Outfitters, and Zoe were proud sponsors of this event. Although Kenyatta university ladies took home the  overall championship trophy, all women who participated were considered winners. Celebration of women should be frequent and not dependent on one day.

Cultural week

The long awaited return of cultural week is finally here. Every March, USIU-Africa hosts Culture Week, a week-long cultural extravaganza that highlights the university community's cultural variety. The university gets a unique opportunity to sample the food, clothes, music, and language of the numerous countries represented at the institution during the three-day festival. March of 2022 marked the comeback of the cultural week celebrations in USIU. It was bigger and better. North Korea took home the trophy from culture night which has not happened before. Experiencing culture from all over the world is an experience that the recent pandemic took from the students. this years culture week was marked by the colour festival, various dances, and eye capturing exhibition.
