The new School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) building was built to help improve humanities and social science teaching programs significantly. It has classrooms, laboratories for teaching and research, offices, conference spaces, and auditorium lecture halls. There are also fourteen flexible conference rooms with the most up-to-date audio-visual equipment, which are set up for current teaching methods. It also has a glass façade and a covered deck. According to the USIU-Africa master plan, it is located in the academic zone. It's close to the Science Centre and sports fields, and it's easy to get to from Gate B. By creating locations where students may readily meet and collaborate, the building design fosters social learning. The new facility will more than double the size of the current classroom capacity.
